Amazing book. A small town that grants wishes. It’s what everyone wants until they start living with the effects of their wishes. The idea of no religion, to college, no future was so odd at first.
My favorite parts of the book were reading about what other people had wished. To me loved, to get the boy, to be rich, to be unnoticed, etc. Loved the idea of living with what you wished for.
Readers have complained about the main character being a jerk. Ya, he is, but YOU live with that loss. YOU live in his life. Let's see how tolerate you are in his place. He figures it out, but back off. He's just a human. He's not perfect.
Heartbreaking loss, but a moving on takes place, too.
