This quirky novel based on wishing and big life changing decisions. The main character Eldon really pulls you into the story with how "normal" and "typical" he should be but isn't, the struggles he goes through, the difficult decision as to what he should do with his wish, it really unravels something in your mind that gets you to put yourself in his situation and how you should handle that. What really got me to empathize with him instantly is the struggles he faces with his family but mainly with his mom. The story really unravels, reveling more about the struggles and hardships his family has been put through and how they had to deal with his sister, and how everything is linked. The writing style of this book is really inviting and warm where you can really have that movie in your head going.
