A book that starts off with a handsome, young protagonist attempting to lead tourists away from a dusty old town definitely catches a reader's attention. You are immediately drawn into this story and begin to ask, "Why? What is different about this town?" You soon find out that Madison is quite the interesting small town, despite its boring name. You see, everyone in Madison gets to make a wish on his or her 18th birthday. That's right, a wish. In the first few pages, you discover that soon the protagonist, Eldon, will make his wish. You also find out that maybe he's not looking forward to making this wish. Why? What happened to make Eldon dread his forthcoming wish? Sedoti will kept me reading by planting questions and intrigue in your mind from the very beginning. I look forward to finishing this one!
