The beginning of the book was alright and I liked it. But it was so slow going and got more boring. The main character was too much of a jerk to really like. The side characters felt more interesting than he did. The idea of the story was good, just the way it was went about was kind of terrible. I did feel about he was upset about his sister and him going through that. That made sense and I think he might have been a better person if his sister were still around. The way it ended felt kinda like the thing he should do, but shouldn't have done. The writing style was good, I was good with that. I liked the little side stories of other people in the town and how they made their wishes, whether they were selfish or not. Ultimately I rated this a two because there weren't many things I liked about this and I almost didn't finish this.
