The writing was engaging and I instantly wanted to know more about this strange, small little town in Nevada. You really feel the main character's struggle as he tries to come to terms with his wish. I really enjoyed learning about everyone's wish and the consequences of them.

Where I struggled was with his choice in the end. Did he do the right thing? Taking away other's choices, is that playing God and causing as much misery as the wishes? I am not sure. I like how Ms. Sedoti wrote his struggle with the wishes. I was pleasantly surprised that he decided to stay in the end to help rebuild the town. That showed a lot of growth and maturity especially compared to how he started out the book. It was a good book of teenage growth, grief, healing and renewal. Highly recommended!
