The title and cover really caught my attention but the synopsis was enough to suck me in. Set in the desert, it gives this feeling of independence and mystery. The characters seem to be mundane at first but the situation surrounding the town of Madison and the countryside really carry them along. Madison is a town everyone would want to live in, even if just for a few days. Wishes are granted but at a cost. I think this is a perfect book for those who love traveling, daydreaming, and wondering what it would be like to have wishes granted. The writing style makes this a fast and easy read for those who wish to get lost in the magical desert world of these characters. I highly recommend this book for those who enjoy a slightly mysterious read!
