The beginning is great. The main character's thoughts are great and are things that I think myself when I'm working and faking through it to get through the day. I absolutely love the concept that everyone in the town gets to make a wish and it's kind of toxic that it's so pressured about before it even happens. I love that everything doesn't seem perfect where they are, that it's a slow small town in the dessert.
