The cover art grabbed my attention immediately. I read the blurb on the back but didn't feel quite the grab to read more. However, the idea of wishes tickled the back of my mind and I had to give the first few pages a read to really make my final decision.

BEST. PLAN.EVER

I read YA, but it's hit or miss with me. From the opening sentences I was hooked. Eldin is smart, witty, and has a bit of sarcasm I was immediately drawn to. I love how the author has -in just 33 pages - already built the suspense of Eldin's upcoming Wish Day and wondering what exactly will he wish for. And what happened to the sister?

I can't wait to read the rest of this book.
