The cover intrigued me with it's dreamy imagery and simple, yet terrifying, question. Wishes that are guaranteed to come true are definitely something to approach with caution. On reading the excerpt, I found my interest growing. Though I have read stories where wishes go wrong, they are usually connected to a genie or djinn, so this premise is unique to me. Though I was enjoying reading from a first person perspective, I wonder if it would work better from a third person perspective. It seems like the character is breaking the rules by telling me the story. Either way, I am eager to find out more of what happens.
