I like the sarcastic tone of the first chapter. It then gets a little darker, but my guess is that the dark tone is to contrast with the idea that getting a wish granted makes everything all better.
The premise is an excellent one, and I would look forward to hearing how other wishes did not turn out so well. I would like to see how this turns out--- is it a simplistic tale of "be careful of what you wish for as you shall surely get it". Or does it have a more complicated story line.
