I love the premise of this book, not just from the everyone gets a wish angle, but from the town conspiracy to make sure that no outsiders find out about it (and I especially love the little irony of the story being written in first person).
The excerpt that I read makes it clear that there's a deeper angle to the book than just the quirky premise and it looks like a story I'd like to explore more.
I did find the characters to be very one-dimensional, but for this kind of story that can be a strength.
