This historical fiction taught me about a whole new part of history! The Spanish flu that swept the country in the early 1900's was devastating and this book brings the time to life. The book told through the voices of the Bright family takes us to Philadelphia and we experience the horror of the time through their eyes.

I am not a big fan of multiple narrators but this book pulls it off because we get very different perspectives and thoughts which help round out our understanding of the emotions and actions of the time.

My only reason to not give it five stars is that I felt it ended too abruptly - I wanted to know more of the story and yet was left with a longing to know more. A few more chapters with a little more detail would have been my choice and made it a five star review!
