Only read the first couple pages, but I'm already hooked!

I first came across this author when I read Secrets of a Charmed Life, which I loved. Susan Meissner is a great writer with wonderful stories to tell that also give you a glimpse into different periods of history. I love learning about the past through her characters and experiencing it along with them. I've since looked up several of her older novels and I was so excited to see she has a new book coming out. I was excited to read the first couple pages on bookishfirst, and I'm hooked already and cannot wait to get my hands on this! She has a way of quickly drawing you into the characters so that you feel connected and want to travel along with them through their story. I love that you get drawn into their experiences and emotions.
