I'm about 50 pages in, and try as I might, I cannot get into As Bright as Heaven, the story of a family, who, after suffering a tragedy, decide to pick up stakes and move to Philly from their quaint home of Quakertown. It hasn't pulled me in, and although there's nothing really wrong - it just isn't compelling. It might be the multiple voices, as we see the same situation over and over again through various eyes, which seems a bit of overkill. One aspect that troubles me is that most of the chapters are comprised of the daughters' view of their new situation - and as i said, we see the same, with just slightly different twists. I didn't find myself wanting to read the book, nothing was drawing me in.

This is my third Meissner and none have been as good as my first, Secrets of a Charmed Life. I can only give 3 stars, sadly.

Many thanks for the ARC.
