I already have two of Meissner's books on my shelves and have been looking forward to this one! Her writing is so fluid and natural; it easily draws me in as a reader. Her imagery is vivid, and i enjoy the way the first person narrative gives honest thought to a woman dealing with the birth and loss of her baby.

The premise is unique. Many writers include a death in their novels, but few honestly look at the issue of grief. I believe this book will. Losing a child must be one of life's most difficult experiences. This makes for an interesting plot! The main character's determination to see her grief through, while her husband finds employment in the business of death, gives the plot added complication/conflict. I would love to read it!
