I really like historical fiction, and I've always loved Susan Meissner's books. This one looks like it will be no exception. Her writing is moving and her books are generally historically accurate. The WW1 time period in the United States is a time period that hasn't been explored much in popular fiction, and she's the writer to do it.

The death of the child, in the beginning, was sad and I'm interested to see where it takes the main character in the future. She and her family have just moved to Philadelphia, but that's all we know. Although this preview was shorter than other previews I've read in the past for other books, it was enough for me to be interested in buying the book when it is published.
