As Bright as Heaven is a story of hope, love and surviving tragedy. This story takes place in Philadelphia during the Spanish flu outbreak of 1918. The book follows the Bright family that was struck by tragedy, who moved to Philadelphia where her husband will start a new career working in his uncle's mortuary. This story starts in 1918 and ends in 1926. The story is told in 4 different POV the mother Pauline and her three daughters. This story will pull you in and make you feel like you are living in that era. I never knew that the Spanish Flu outbreak was so horrific. This book is not only a great story but it also has taught me much about that time frame. I highly recommend this book.
