I received this ARC from BookishFirst in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this book and the time period it was set in is cool too. It was sad that a lot of people died from the Spanish Flu during 1918 through 1919 but I feel like I learned something while reading this even though it’s in the Historical Fiction genre. At first, I wasn’t sure what to think about what was happening in the story but as I was reading each chapter, I started to feel bad for this family and how bad they were affected by the Spanish Flu Pandemic. It’s sad that there wasn’t a cure for this disease back then. Their medical technology wasn’t as advanced as it is today and there was a lot of insightful quotes too.
