Being able to read the first impression -was not nearly enough. I already need to read more. Seven pages was a tease! I need more of this story. As soon as I saw the authors name I knew that this is something that I was going to love.
Historical fiction books have what has been keeping me going in this current pandemic. I am not sure if I am looking for the answers, or just trying to relate to someone who has already been through this.
The story already starts off sad, but it is the positivity and the strength of the narrator that pulled me into the story. Perhaps the move to Philadelphia is exactly what this family needs right now. To draw their focus away from their sadness, and be able to start fresh.
I am fully invested in this family already- and hope that when I get to read the book until the end that I will be satisfied with their outcome during the Spanish Flu.
