I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Susan Meissner’s new book and I was ecstatic.
This story is told from the perspectives of the ladies in the Bright family. Each one brings you into their lives and you can almost feel their emotions during the flu and war and how there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Numerous times I stopped to reread a sentence because it really touched me. I cried and laughed while reading the book!
I didn't know a lot about the Spanish Flu so it was interesting to read and learn more about that time in history.
At parts I thought the book was dragging and I was getting bored, but I really wanted to know how it ended, so I pushed through. I'm glad I did too.
