I love the time period that this takes place in. The author makes us feel what these people are going through and her descriptions are vivid. I can't wait to read the whole book. I haven't read a book that addresses people going through the Great war and the flu during this time period and it makes the book even more interesting. It sounds like a great story and also an opportunity to learn more about this time in history. Susan Meisner takes us back to this time and we're able to feel what the characters are feeling. It's a very moving story and I definitely rated it very high. The style of writing makes it easy for the reader to go back in time with these characters. I look forward to reading the whole book.
