I loved this book. I have read a decent amount of historical fiction and yet have never read one about the Spanish flu. This particular topic has not been portrayed much in my opinion. I enjoy finding a new historical fiction that goes outside of the regular topics. The family dynamics of this story are lovely and heart melting. At times I felt a bit of a "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott vibe. The characters are well described and entirely relateable. The story line is heart wrenching and warming at the same time. The writing is fluid and has lovely details. I look forward to sharing this story. Those who love historical fiction will be pleased by this addition to the genre. Also the I really like the cover. It is simple and calming.
