I love the plot of the book. It draws you in and you feel a part of the story and the lives of the people in the story. The characters are outstanding in their ability to move forward with their lives in difficult circumstances. The style of the writing is simply amazing because it is almost as if the author is a part of the story.
I do love a good well written historical and this is well written. I do hope the author writes more. The story is such that you can see the strength of the characters and that they have the inner strength to survive in a world that is an unknown to them. And no matter what goes wrong, they help each other in the hard times. This is a book that will be an excellent read.
