This excerpt was only four pages, and although excellently evoking the feelings of a mother's loss, it left me wanting more to better evaluate the book. The writing is strong and descriptive. (More than once, a tear came to my eye!) Pauline sounds like she will be the strength of her family, as they begin life in a new home, during extremely trying times. Definitely looking forward to following up with the complete book.
