This was a very good start for the book, I was instantly interested in reading the rest of the story. I would like to find out what happens to Pauline, Thomas, and their three daughters. if they go to the USA. If they actually inherit the funeral parlor from Thomas' Uncle Fred.
Everything in the first Chapter leads me to want to go further into the book to find all the answers to these questions: Do they actually go to the US? Does Thomas get away from the Cigar business and become a funeral director? Do the three young girls find living in the US easier than where they are now? Does Pauline adjust to life in the US without her parents near her?
I would like to finish reading the book and it seems like a great book and a wonderful strong story!
