Strangely haunting tale of a woman who does not see Death as an enemy

The narrator is a mother who has lost her beloved only son when he was only six months old. Her daughters seem bitter about the death, but the narrator accepts it because she doesn’t fear death, but rather she accepts it. Likewise, she accepts the family’s move to Philadelphia for her husband to accept a new job as an undertaker. She leaves the grave of her much cherished son without saying good-bye.
