So much sadness from this snippet. A mother losing a child is heartbreaking and somewhat enlightening. The main character is going through a journey of coming to terms with death. She does not fear it, but wants to keep it at a distance. So much vulnerability and really appreciate s that aspect. I think the cover is beautifully done and appropriate. Gives me a sense of the time that this book is taking place.
