Both the cover and the title were striking to me, drawing my eye even as I wasn't sure this would be the type of book I would enjoy.
The synopsis didn't really help with that decision either, providing me enough information to know that I MIGHT like something like this, but it may be a bit dry for my tastes. However, once I opened the excerpt and read the first little snippet provided there? I was sold. It was emotional and heart-wrenching, beautifully written, and just enough to make me feel like I wanted more. This looks like it will be a heartbreaking book, an intense read, but absolutely an interesting one!
