I caught my breath and felt tears pool at the corner of my eyes by the end of the first line- "Morning light shimmers on the apricot horizon as I stand at the place where my baby boy rests." From that line alone I know As Bright As Heaven is going to be heartbreakingly brilliant-the writing flows like gentle breeze, and you feel Pauline's despair as though it was your own. I expect As Bright As Heaven will be the "must read" book of 2018. I would be honored to receive a copy.
