The cover drew my eye initially, because it reminded me of other historical fiction novels I have enjoyed. However the writing kept my attention. The author writes in such beautiful words that it almost sounds lyrical. This makes the writing so impactful, especially coupled with what Pauline has experienced. The writing is so beautiful and made me feel Paulines pain. I could feel her ache. The emotional story coupled with the beautiful writing makes me want to read more of this story that is sure to be a tearjerker.
