I have long been a fan of Ms. Meissner, and have read all of her previous books. I always am completely captivated by the cover of her book, and then the story. This book is no exception. The first pages draw me into the world, a skill that the author has that is so admirable. It’s not every book that can have your heart aching for the protagonist within the first three pages! I am fascinated to learn about the mortuary business, and to make sure that this little family is okay after such a painfull loss.
