Jessica is struggling financially, so when the opportunity arises to make some extra money as a test subject she jumps at the opportunity. Little does she know this psychology study is much more intensive than it seems and the seemingly easy cash is not so easy after all.
I am so grateful that I listened to this book, as I don't think I could have finished it any other way. It felt as though the authors were trying to add more to the plot just to make the story longer but not to necessarily enhance the characters or plot. The plot started out promising but with each "turn" dissolved slowly into being too much and not overly enjoyable. Additionally, I found it hard to connect with or root for the characters in any way.
I would not classify this book as a thriller, but rather a mystery or even just fiction. The slow pace of the plot did not hold up to other thrillers by these authors and left me wanting the book to end.
