Review An Anonymous Girl was a unique and engrossing read. It shows that not all psychological thrillers need violence to make a story intense or interesting. It centers around cunning manipulation, demonstrating that the mind can be a dangerous and brutal weapon, just as it can be a vulnerably pliable.

The story is told from two characters’ perspectives, allowing the reader to understand the intentions of one and the confusion of the other.

Although I thought the book was a little slow to start, once it picked up, I didn’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed the pull of this narrative. Unfortunately, the ending left me slightly dissatisfied, as I had expected more fireworks.

Prior to reading this, I had only a slight interest in the authors’ previous collaboration. I am now very interested in reading The Wife Between Us in the future. Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen are excellent writers and storytellers.
