I was skeptical when I first heard of this book, I was concerned that it would be too based on the scientific aspect of the study but I need not have worried. The characters were so well written that I instantly identified with Jessica and the reason why she lied to become part of this study. It was much more intriguing and human than I thought it would be.
The characters were so well written that you really got to know, maybe not like, but respect Dr Shields and the study that she was conducting. The story was so well told that it became nearly impossible to put the book down. I had to know what was going to happen! The ending, well, without giving it away, it was worth the time. I look forward to many more books by this duo of authors.
