Fast-paced, full of twists and turns, An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is a quick and enjoyable read. Jessica, our main character, gets wrapped up in a study on ethics and morality conducted by a prominent NYC psychiatrist, Dr. Shields, and is immediately manipulated. Ultimately, Jessica gets in way over her head and must find a way to get out of this most serious predicament.
If you enjoyed other psychological thrillers such as Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn or The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena, then you will definitely enjoy this book.
The writing in The Anonymous Girl was well executed and I particularly enjoyed the added narrative from the doctor’s point of view. This added to the tension in the story! Definitely a fun and quick read!
