Thanks to St. Martin's Press for this ARC.

I'm not a creepy book person, but this one had me on my toes the whole 371 pages.

Talk about psychological fiction messing with your head. When Jessica becomes Subject 52, in a study she happens to fall into, by switching places with a girl who she meets while doing her make-up, as a make up artist, who decides not to show up, for a NYU study on morality, she has no idea what is going to happen.

Dr. Lydia Shields is a slick, elegant psychiatrist who only cares about her cheating husband (who is also a psychiatrist), who she is separated from and how she can get information on who he has had an affair(s) with. Jessica gets entangled in it so badly, she resorts to all kinds of mind play that Dr. Shields has ready and waiting for her. Dr. Shields had one of the most devious mind I've seen in a book.
