I bought this book right away because of how much I had enjoyed the first novel from these authors. The Wife Between Us was twisty and dark and thoroughly enjoyable. This novel, however, was a bit of a let down. I didn't find it as beleivable, and although the end kept me guessing, it wasn't satisfying.

This book is told through two perspectives, Jessica, who has signed up for a psychological study, and Dr. Shields, the woman behind the study. The story alternates between the two characters, and was easy to follow.

I had no issue getting through this book, and found it somewhat enjoyable, but it did not captivate me the way I have come to expect. I had high hopes after their first book, and seeing early reviews, but I do feel a bit let down.
