An Anonymous Girl does an artful job of keeping the reader on the edge of their seat for nearly the entirety of the story. From the beginning something appears "off" about the psychological experiment Jess agrees to participate in. Greer Hendricks outdoes herself with Dr. Shields, who lures the reader into a potentially false sense of security and leaves the reader guessing at every turn.

The jacket cover is a perfect blurry image, reminiscent of the story itself as the lines between truth and perception are blurred. In particular, Hendricks does a great job of giving every character incredible depth, that somehow makes even the most unlikeable character sympathetic.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book for anyone who liked A Wife Between Us or other suspenseful thrillers like Gone Girl. You'll never guess the ending!
