I really wanted to like this book. I enjoyed the delicious twist towards the end of The Wife Between Us so much, that I had my hopes pretty high for the next book from these authors. But it just all seemed so cliched. I guessed the ending almost from the beginning. I don't know, I guess I simply expected more from the book from the outset. However, there was a Goodreads review that I read that said how wonderful the audiobook was since it used two different narrators, which might just add the interesting dynamic that I felt it had been missing. Hearing the differences in characters, rather than simply reading it. I did really love the cover of this title though - you don't come across many red covers, so I love the visual splash that it makes.
