This book is decidedly okay. It's intriguing, and it will keep you reading, but the fact is, it's just not as good as their first book, The Wife Between Us. It gets a bit ridiculous toward the end, and the way that some of the "loose ends" are tied up stretches things quite a bit - way too convenient or way too convoluted. That said, the premise is interesting, and the characters do draw you in. It's worth reading at least once, particularly if you enjoy psychological thrillers. With that being said, the quality deterioration from the first book to this book continues and their third book is worse still, so if you want to keep it on a high note, maybe stop with this one. All in all, it could have been as bad as their third book, but it wasn't so there's that.
