"Writing about hidden thoughts is like washing off makeup and seeing a bare face."

As a keen fan of Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen's novel, The Wife Between Us, I did not waste any time to grab this book from the shelf as soon as I spotted its spine, lined up inside the local library. I was excited to see what this would bring, and the synopsis seemed enticing enough. Psychology has never failed to interest me, after all.

But.. after reading it, it kind of just felt like meh. Compared to their debut novel, this felt pretty underwhelming and kinda boring. I felt as if the story kept dragging on, and it took me ages to finish this. I picked up and completed wayyyyyyyy too many books while reading this one. 💀

But that's not to say that I won't be picking up any more of these authors' books. I definitely have my eyes on some more of their books that I've been seeing praises about.
