After The Wife Between Us, I was dying for another book by these two ladies, and I was so excited to get my hands on this one. I did enjoy this one, I however had a hard time connecting with the story, and the characters. I felt the protagonist read much younger than her 25 years. I also didn't like that she had lol these secret one night stands, I guess that was supposed to show unsavory character flaws? In books, sometimes authors will use tragic life events in order to progress their plot along. Sometimes it's done well, sometimes it's too much. When a a book has too add things like abuse, rape, drug addiction, violence, all in one book it has to be written in such a way that it doesn't overwhelm the reader. I think this book walked the fine line, and managed to not get too heavy.
