An Anonymous Girl follows Jessica Farris as she makes a spur-of-the-moment decision to enter into a morality study illegally in order to make some much needed cash. As the study progresses, she get much more than she bargains for when she becomes enmeshed with the psychologist who runs it, the sleekly manipulative Dr. Shields. Jessica begins to suspect that there is more to the story and starts to feel trapped the more she converses with Dr. Shields.
This was a great, dark thriller that kept me hooked throughout. The book starts out with Jessica making a morally-grey decision to enter the ethics study but we quickly find out through different POV chapters whose ethics are a little worse than "morally-grey". I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and found myself unable to put it down.
