The book is about Dr Shield who is conducting a psychological experiment on morality and ethics and Jessica who is in need of money and hence takes part in the study to earn some cash. Its only when the study moves from mere questionnaire to real life experiments that Jessica senses something fishy. When she is paid way more than what might be given for her role, she realizes that she need to know more about Dr Shield who now holds Jessica's deep secrets, guilts and regrets through the questionnaire.
I really enjoyed the book. It had a good mix of deception, suspense, manipulation and at every point you would start doubting each character as to who's manipulating whom. I could feel the anxiety and nervousness of Jessica who was thrown with deep moral questions whose answers would rip apart all her secrets and emotions, her fear of what is right and wrong.
It was a fast paced novel and could finish it in 2 days. I did not find it very dark like other psychological thrillers but had good amount of twists and turns that would keep you hooked till the end.
