Another Disappointment

After unexpectedly getting an e-ARC of this book via Netgalley, I immediately started reading it. I hadn’t read the two authors’ first novel (I eventually did and found it disappointing), but I loved the premise of this book so I just had to try it out. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it.

Much like “The Wife Between Us,” this book is slowly-paces, but addicting enough to reel you in. Mid-way through, there’s a twist, and, at least for me, the ending seems to go buck wild and nonsensical. I’m not a fan of ridiculous endings when it comes to my psychological thrillers, and this one was a big offender. By the end, it felt like a completely different book than how it started out. I actually thought the beginning was nice, but it just went downhill. I think I’m done with these authors.
