This is another book that left me feeling unsure of how I felt about it. It was such a good book. I didn't want to put it down! So compelling, I HAD to know what would happen next. Time after time, I would feel my jaw almost drop open. Some of the plot twists I did not expect to see coming. The ending, however, is what left me unsure. While I did not see that coming, I did expect a different ending. What? I don't know, but not what it was.
This book was so deceptive, so unsettling, just downright creepy. The story line was amazing and definitely different than what has become the norm in psychological thrillers over the past year. It is what drew me in. The hard hitting, edge of your seat writing is what kept me going. I loved how it went from 2 different point of views- Jessica and Dr. Shields. It was nice to be able to read their points of view, instead of just one characters.
I have not read The Wife Between Us, though I do own it. So I went into this book with only the hype of that book and this one. It was all anyone could talk about. If only the ending had of been different, this book would have been at least 4 stars at minimum. That ending just kind of left me hanging..........or is there going to be a sequel? I think it is definitely set up for that possibility.
