I have been looking forward to the new Pekkannen/Hendricks book since I read THE WIFE BETWEEN US. After reading this first look, I am convinced that this book will go far in the publishing world! The plot is original...a survey in a classroom by a college professor. Then the questions turn out to be invasive, making twenty-eight year old Jessica Farris really examine her life and motives. I love that I can put myself into her shoes and imagine taking such a survey. It would be so hard to keep from making things up, so I can understand how Jessica is feeling double-minded about these invasive questions. I also like how we don’t get to meet the mysterious Dr. Shields who is conducting the study. It is all surreal, but very possible all at the same time! I really, really want to read this book! I want to find out if Jessica continues the study and what examining herself does to her. What would it do to you, or to anyone?
