Almost Home is like warm apple pie on a crisp fall day. The characters are all so warm and cozy, especially Dolly and Si. The old fashioned manners and civility are very sweet, a far cry from today’s world. Not that people didn’t have problems- but the ways in which they all pulled together to help everyone else through the tough times is so heart warming. The world could use more genuine people like the citizens of Blackberry Springs, Alabama. Then you throw in the mystery about Catherine and her pirate husband with a possibility of buried treasure- perfect. This should become a series so we can learn what happens to everyone as they grow older. In the meanwhile, I will think about Dolly and Si rocking on their front porch.
