I do not know what it is about this story, but right from the beginning, I was pulled in. I became a part of the story quickly and felt Ana's frustration at her husband, along with Dolly's gentleness with her new guests. I even felt Jesse's frustration with the world.
It's quite amazing when an author can make you feel for characters so fast without major action happening. This is definitely a book that I want to continue!
