As I was reading the first look of "Almost Home" I kept wondering what is going on with this young couple. Why is Jesse so detached, and Anna so nervous and sad? There is a clearly a story behind their relationship, and I am sure it will unfold in the pages of the novel. Dolly seems like a sweetheart, kind to all who enter her home, and a real Southern lady. She may not have the polish of some, but her hospitality and her kindness make her a true lady.
It will be interesting to see what happens to these characters, how their lives touch each other, and how they work through their troubles. This will be a sweet story, with a touch of heartache, I am sure.
I am excited to read this one!! I want to read more about Southern hospitality, long talks on big porches, and hopeful dreams.
